Marlon Baptiste’s relationship with music began at just 12 years old, guided by his relatives Jansen Archie and Hess Archie. What started as a childhood curiosity quickly evolved into a burning passion — performing at friends and family gatherings across Trinidad and Tobago, honing a feel for what moves a crowd before he ever touched a professional stage.
After migrating to the United States, it was only a matter of time before he emerged into New York’s limelight as a professional disc jockey. The name “Sounds 4 Life” was never just a brand — it was a declaration. Music isn’t what he does. It’s who he is. Known as the “Silent Assassin,” he has a rare gift for electrifying any room, turning stillness into pure, unstoppable energy.

Marlon Baptiste, aka “Sounds 4 Life”, aka “The Silent Assassin”, is one of the most sought after and highly recommended event DJ’s in the US North East Region. A product of South Trinidad, Marlon’s aim is to transcend convention, and work closely with his diverse clientele to elevate their event to the next level. At an early age, Marlon’s passion for music, skill set of mixing, and drive to succeed in the business was clearly evident, and was thus supported, encouraged and promoted, by his family members and close friends.
One of many major tools, which in my view, has attributed to him perfecting the art of mixing was his enthusiasm to always create CD’s, listen to the flaws (focus on proper selection and clean mixes) and then go right back at it again and again until the perfect CD was completed.
Over the years I have witnessed “Sounds 4 Life”, silently rock dance floors, locally, domestically and internationally, without using any props to engage his audience—strictly his “FINESSE”! Whenever “The Silent Assassin” steps behind the 1’s & 2’s you can feel confident that your event is in good hands. His attention to detail, careful analysis of crowd / clientele, environment, location of event, and his position of order among other DJ’s (when performing on a cast of several DJ’s) and also his clear communication with his clients ahead of time, allows for an event that flows seamlessly from one element to the next.
As his reputation and efforts continue to grow through hard work, excellent service, a humble, modest personality and a RESPECT for other DJ’s within the industry, I am very proud to endorse and recommend my younger brother to the Global Market.
